This fun event is held in Edmonds Town Centre and has taken place on Edmonds Street between Canada Way and Kingsway since 2004. The original fair was held in Richmond Park (now Edmonds Park) but out grew the venue.
The whole community come outs and celebrate the annual Edmonds City Fair which includes an international fair in which the diverse community presents displays and costumes from many countries, children’s activities a talent show, a petting zoo and carnival rides.
This is the most anticipated event of the year for the Edmonds community and is an event that people in the neighbourhood can just walk to. The Fair is held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Edmonds Street between Canada Way and Kingsway. Parking restrictions go into effect at 7:30 am and road closures begin at 8:00 am to allow for set up. The Fair includes the Edmonds Classic Car Show, a collection of vintage cars featuring over 150 classic cars, making it a car lovers dream. The cars are displayed between Mary Avenue and Kingsway.
Live entertainment takes place on three stages. The main stage is located at New Vista Place, near the Edmonds fire hall and features the annual youth talent show. The second and third stages are located at Kingsway and at Humphries Avenue to feature musical acts. Street performers give roving performances up and down Edmonds Street throughout the day.
You will find the petting zoo located near the Canada Way end of the event and the rides are located between the fire hall and Mary Avenue. Be sure to have a tasty burger and some refreshments at the barbecue on Humphries Avenue.
The Edmonds City Fair and Edmonds Classic Car Show is lots of fun for the whole family and usually attracts more than 7,500 people.
